Реферат: Adsorption and reaction of propylene with copper and its oxides, which are common catalysts for oxidation of propylene to acrolein, were studied in vacuum by volumetric method at temperatures of 20 to 150 C and pressures from 10-2 to 10 mm Hg. Analysis of adsorption isotherms and isobars suggests two forms of adsorption of propylene on copper or its oxides-weak, reversible adsorption (10 to 50 C) and activated one (50 to 150 C). Results obtained and data existing in literaturesuggest that activated adsorption, which increases with extent of reduction of copper oxides, is stage in catalytic oxidation of propylene to acrolein.
