Реферат: The activity of an alumina-nickel-molybdenum catalyst in the trimerization of acetylene and alkylacetylenes depends on the temperature of activation, concentration, and molar ratio of the oxides of nickel and molybdenum and on the method of preparation. The greatest activity is shown by a catalyst containing 10% nickel and molybdenum oxides (molar ratio NiO to MoO3 equal 2 to 1) after activation for a period of 1 hr in a vacuum at 900 C; this catalyst can be used to synthesizebenzene in approximately 95% yield with an efficiency of 18. 4 g benzene/100 g catalyst. A simple method for the preparation of the catalyst is proposed. The results for the trimerization of methylacetylene are also described.
