Реферат: The kinetic principles governing the formation of C2H5Br form ethanol and HBr have been studied in aqueous solutions in the absence and presence of sulfuric acid. The reaction has been found to be an equilibrium reaction, with the C2H5Br separated practically completely in the vapor phase. The equilibrium is established at the very beginning of the reaction, and the rate of formation of C2H5Br is determined by the HBr and ethanol concentrations and the acidity of the medium. Second order rate constants were measured for the formation of C2H5Br relative to the acidity of the medium, and corrected to a single standard state.
