Реферат: An operando kinetic study was made of the Mizoroki–Heck reaction with low-reactive aryl chlorides using the most practically attractive “ligand-free” catalytic systems. The study included the analysis of the rate of formation and concentrations of the reaction products with simultaneous monitoring of the amount of the palladium acid complex [PdBr4]2– formed in the catalytic system. The results obtained showed the decisive effect of the catalyst transformations outside the catalytic cycle on the main catalytic reaction. The concentration dynamics of the spectroscopically observed complex [PdBr4]2– is inconsistent with the commonly accepted linear scheme of the Mizoroki–Heck catalytic cycle, in which the coupled aryl halide and alkene are sequentially activated in the same catalytic cycle. At the same time, the results of the simulation of the kinetic dependences using models based on the hypothesis of the so-called cooperative catalysis, which assumes the activation of two coupled substrates by catalytically active Pd species in two coupled catalytic cycles, qualitatively fit the experimental data. The results presented suggested that the cooperative catalysis in the Mizoroki–Heck reaction should be taken into account when analyzing experimental results and constructing hypotheses of the reaction mechanism.
