Реферат: The XV International Conference on Chemical Reactor Modeling (CHEMREACTOR-15) took place on 5–8 June 2001 in Helsinki, Finland. The Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Science organized the first Russian conference on this subject in Novosibirsk (Russia) in 1960. Since then, the conferences devoted to chemical engineering in the field of chemical reactors took place in different cities of the former USSR every 3 years. They received International status in 1996. Outstanding scientists such as Professor M.G. Slinko, Academician G.K. Boreskov, Academician G.I. Marchuk (Russia), Professor K.R. Westerterp (The Netherlands), Professor G. Froment (Belgium) and Professor A. Renken (Switzerland) helped a great deal in the organization and formation of these conferences. About 120 researchers from 14 countries participated in the CHEMREACTOR-15 conference. The organizers were the Boreskov Institute of Catalysis SB RAS, the Finnish Catalytic Society, the Scientific Council on Catalysis of RAS, and the European Federation on Chemical Technologies. The conference was supported by the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies of the Russian Federation and the Russian Center of International Scientific and Cultural Cooperation under RF Government.
