Реферат: This study demonstrates the possibility and good practical prospects of a principally new type of noncatalytic matrix conversion of natural gas and associated petroleum gas to syngas. Matrix reformers can operate on various types of oxidizers, such as air, enriched air, and oxygen, thereby producing syngas with the desired nitrogen content, including nitrogen-free syngas for petrochemical applications. The optimal value of oxygen excess coefficient, α = 0.34 − 0.36, provides a high conversion of reagents and a high yield of syngas in such a simple noncatalytic process. Addition of steam stabilizes the matrix temperature and decreases the yield of acetylene, thereby making the process more stable.
