Реферат: The crystal structure of 1,4-dilithiumbutadiene 2 obtained in the reaction of tolane with an iron(II) hydridolithium complex shows that 2 is a dimer with four lithium atoms, forming a distorted tetrahedron with short LiLi and LiC distances. Implication for the reaction of the iron-lithium complex with dinitrogen is discussed.
