Реферат:
[Cu(I)(o-phen)2]+ complexes effectively catalyze the oxidation of primary alcohols to aldehydes by dioxygen in non aqueous solutions at pH>7 and moderate temperatures and can be considered as an adequate model of galactose-oxidase. The anion coordination on Cu(I)-centers results in a strong increase in anion reactivity towards O2. The use of D4-labeled methanol confirms that dioxygen reduction in the course of oxidation occurs by a concerted two-electron mechanism.
