Реферат: We have shown that base changes the mechanism for oxidation of alkanes in the NaOCl-iron porphyrin system. We have established that for a small base concentration, selective oxidation of cyclohexane to cyclohexanol occurs with k(H)/k(D) = 21.9 +/- 1.9; with an increase in the base concentration in the reaction medium, the rate of oxidation of cyclohexane increases approximately 10 times, the selectivity of the reaction changes, and the kinetic isotope effect for the formation of alcohol decreases down to 11.2 +/- 0.5. We suggest two possible explanations for the accelerating effect of base.
