Реферат: The reaction of four 4,4'-substituted diphenylaminyl radicals with nine 4-substituted phenols is investigated in n-decane using laser flash photolysis. The rate constants for the reaction, which range from 10(5) to 10(8) 1 mol(-1) s(-1) are obtained at room temperature depending on the nature of the substituents in the phenol molecule and in the aminyl radical. The linear correlations between the logarithm of the rate constant and the value of the heat effect of the reaction are established. It is found that the reaction of aminyl radicals with phenols proceeds by a complex mechanism, and, when the reaction is exothermic, is characterized by a negative activation energy. It is proposed that at the first stage of the reaction, an intermediate complex of the aminyl radical and phenol is formed and then subsequently converts to an amine and a phenoxyradical.
