Реферат: The results of an investigation of H-atom abstraction reactions of four diphenylaminyl radicals with ten 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4X-phenols containing various 4X-substituents are presented. The rate constants for reactions in n-decane are determined. The reactivities of the aminyl radicals are found to be slightly dependent on the nature of substituents in the radical, and in the phenol molecule, the distinctions in the rate constants are within an order of magnitude at a mean value of about 10(7) 1 mol(-1) s(-1). The negative temperature run of the rate constant for the exothermic reaction of the ditolylaminyl radical with 2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol is established, and is interpreted in terms of the formation of an intermediate complex of the aminyl radical with phenol, which is in equilibrium with the starting reagents and decomposes slowly to the phenoxy radical and amine.
