Abstract:
Catalytic properties of the vanadium-antimony oxide system in ammoxidation of methylpyrazine were studied at 230-480 degrees C. Two regions of compositions which differ in both activity and selectivity to the reaction products were determined: the vanadium-enriched region and that enriched by antimony. The catalytic activity increased with increasing vanadium content. The maximum yield of pyrazinecarbonitrile was achieved on the sample containing 10 mol % V2O5; the minimum yield was found for the sample with the equimolar composition.
