Abstract:
A number of carbonaceous composite materials were prepared by pyrolytic deposition of carbon on the surface of carbon black of different dispersion and steam activation. Changes in the texture in these composites during their calcination were investigated. The calcination of samples led to the preferential orientation of basal facets in the carbon microcrystallites on the surface of a support and to their growth. The growth of primary carbon black particles favored textural changes in the calcined samples.
