Abstract:
The dependence of the activity of zeolites in the reactions of C-alkylation of phenol on the number and strength of Bronsted acid sites is determined. Mechanochemical treatment influences the acid-site distribution. Hydroxyaluminum species that do not enter the framework and are localized at the zeolite surface exhibit a negative effect on the occurrence of the process.
