Abstract: Under conditions for the partial oxidation of acrolein to acrylic acid on V-Mo-Si-O catalyst, infrared spectroscopy has been used to study the kinetics of surface compound conversion. A nonstationary kinetic model has been proposed for the reaction, describing the timewise changes in concentrations of surface compounds and gaseous components of the reaction mixture.
